Since camping has come to a halt due tot he fact that we have places to stay, Jeremy and I are visiting Starbucks for there free wifi! Day in and day out, he works on games, while I work on my writing! In other words, we haven't been sight seeing lately and this is my excuse for not keeping the blog updated!

After being in Portland for a few days we decided to make a quick trip to Seattle! A city I fell in love with, we went out on the first sunny day we have seen since being on the west coast. I cannot wait to return and explore it even more!
A long journey through the Nevada desert got us to Oregon before we knew it! Portland is a fun place to visit, visit is a key word, with a huge bookstore that had every 'Ray Bradbury" story written, funky street art and gloomy weather, it's definitely unlike any other city I've seen.
To me one of the most fascinating constructions in this country is the hoover dam and the memorial bridge. Huge iconic structures that are unfathomable.
Vegas itself, is an interesting city with a interesting history. After a while of travelling through the beautiful state of Arizona, we said our goodbyes to the desert and made our way to Nevada. The cold took its toll on me but not before we could enjoy a beautiful sunset!
We've been on the road for about a week and it has been one exciting week! In between campsites we find time to work on projects. While I write short stories, Jeremy works on games! And though we aren't asking for funding, all purchases of the story or the games help fund our trip and are greatly appreciated! Click on the links below for more information!
We definitely had fun while in Swansea! I found pretty rocks, and Jeremy played the guitar, and we made a bannock bread cheese-less pizza!
The abandoned buildings in Swansea were made of adobe or rock. The buildings included the managers house and garage, a recreational center, a railroad station and a smelting plant! It was a great find!
By far one of the coolest places we have been to yet, an abandoned copper mining town called Swansea in Arizona! This ghost town looks like they just dropped what they were doing and left. The small town is surrounded by cool little campgrounds, with trails leading you around to all the abandoned buildings.
Tonto National Forest in Arizona was so much warmer! Great views of mesa's, tons of cactus and tiny shells all along the Roosevelt Lake! It was a fun stay! We cooked some hobo dinners, because that's what we are. Hobos with a car! Our hammock set up finally worked, and we slept under the stars that night! Don't forget to check out my Instagram page just #nomadicnonsense to find us!
We stayed at Clint's Well in Arizona, and it was freezing! In the middle of the night both Jeremy and I agreed that we should sleep in the car. When we woke up the next morning there was frost on the INSIDE of the window!
Pueblo ruins and carvings on the wall! El Morro was fun to hike around, when we came down all we could say was "It was amazing." If you ever get the chance to go, it is worth it!
After leaving my parents house, we headed out on our long adventure!
Our first stop - El Morro National Monument, New Mexico! Though it was a cold night we had fun cooking our bannock bread and peas over a fire! The next day we set out for a hike and our next destination! Three days on our journey and we are still alive! Updates of our fun will be coming soon....once I find wifi.
After two weeks of staying and preparing in New Mexico, we are furthering our journey south! So many great things to be seen! Keep updated by checking our blog, or follow our Instagram!
Jeremy made a new game! And it's super addictive!
Play "Egg Drop" on your Android device and drop every other responsibility! All purchases go to help funding our trip! <3 |
